Function meets form in this practical wood stapler. The grain of sustainable mango wood brings a natural warmth to this practical everyday item.
Swapping plastic for sustainable natural materials.
Mango Wood is fast becoming a sustainable wood choice. It is classed as a strong wood but unlike other strong woods, such as Oak that take 50-100 years to grow fully, Mango Wood can grow to 80-100 feet in 15 years. As well as being fast growing, it is also a by-product of the booming Mango industry. In times gone by when a mango tree has grown too tall to harvest the fruit, or stopped bearing fruit altogether, the tree would be felled and burnt. By using the trees for products made from Mango Wood, we are not only positively using the by product, we are also providing further income to the Mango Tree farmers. When an old tree is used for the wood, a new tree is planted in its place.
To care for your mango wood wash in warm soapy water, rinse and dry immediately. To nourish and protect the natural wood, rub an edible oil such as olive oil or walnut oil into the surface with a cloth.
